It adheres well to both new surfaces and old previously painted surfaces, and works in both dry and humid environments. When freshly painted, the paint is glossy but will mattify to semi-matte after a few weeks, depending on weather and substrate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"1225\"\u003eOutdoors, the surface mattifies primarily in south-facing positions where UV radiation breaks down the linseed oil, which can cause the color to lighten slightly, especially on dark shades.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1493\"\u003eRepainting is only needed after 8–15 years, depending on exposure.
