Gysinge's own weatherstripping has no synthetic blend; it is made entirely of wool.
Unlike other textile fibers, wool is an elastic material that expands in large gaps and compresses where space is limited. Furthermore, wool repels moisture, whereas materials like linen and cotton absorb it.
Wool is therefore the ideal material for weatherstripping. It seals against drafts and dust but still allows the house to breathe.
Available in two thicknesses: 5 mm for windows. 8 mm for doors and larger gaps.
Best attached with a staple gun, but can also be tacked.
The weatherstripping or wool cord is reusable and can be removed for repainting and reinserted afterwards. It should last about a generation.
100% Wool. Made in Sweden for Gysinge. Also called wool cord. Thickness 5mm or 8mm.
