On tiled stoves, the gaps between the tiles and between the door frame and vents are usually filled with a special tiled stove jointing compound. This jointing compound is "softer" and more flexible than the tile grout normally used for wall tiles.

The reason the joint is softer is that a tiled stove shrinks and expands much more than wall and floor tiles when heating and cooling.

Gysinge's tiled stove jointing compound is based on a traditional mixture of chalk and titanium white. The package is enough for several applications, and you only mix as much as you need. It is white in color and mostly suitable for white stoves. If you have a colored stove, add pigment in a suitable color and stir well before mixing it with water.

Tip! The contents of the bucket are enough for several stoves. Therefore, only mix the amount you need and save the rest for another time.
