Grey-Blue Distemper is a light grey-blue distemper paint. Although it doesn't have roots as a traditional culturally historical colour, it has become a popular choice in newer residential areas and fits well with contemporary architecture. Our Grey-Blue Distemper is pre-mixed and ready to use. Mixing with natural white distemper is not recommended as a high proportion of white pigment reduces the paint's durability. NOTE! The colour reproduction on screen is not 100% accurate.
Gysinge's distemper for outdoor use is manufactured in our own factory from pigments, stone-ground rye flour and water according to historical recipes. Linseed oil is added to all colours except Red Ochre Distemper without linseed oil. It is easy to apply, provides an opaque surface, and is simple to maintain and repaint. Distemper works excellent on rough-sawn timber and untreated facades. However, it should not be used on planed wood, or on surfaces previously painted with oil paint or plastic paint.
Colour: Closest NCS S 3502-B.
Usage: Outdoors.
Coverage: 3-5 sqm/litre, depending on the wood's structure and absorbency. Note! Expect 25 percent greater actual facade area on an unpanelled log house or a house with heavy batten cladding. For new painting, two coats are usually required. For repainting, one coat is recommended.
Drying time: Dries after one day, re-coatable after two. Humidity and cold can significantly extend drying time. Do not paint in rain or risk of dew within the next 24 hours. Also avoid painting in direct sunlight or on heated facades.
Painting instructions: Follow the instructions in Instructions and read the Safety Information.
