Titanium dioxide white

Used to mix different shades of egg tempera.

Available in two sizes: 150g and 500g.

Instructions

Each hue and value has different amounts of pigment and egg oil for one batch of Paint in a Bag with 500 grams of water. Additionally, there is more egg oil for the joinery colours. So, when you need to shade the lightness of a colour yourself, you need to follow our tables with the correct mixing quantities.

1. Find the right quantities. First, calculate how many batches you need for your painting project: coverage per batch

Then, find the hue and value you want to mix in the wall or joinery table below to get the correct amount of base and white.

Multiply the amount of base colour and white that your value should have by the number of batches you need for your painting project:

• Wall table
• Joinery table

2. Calculate the number of base colour batches. In the table, there is a column on the far right, with value 100, which shows how many grams a batch of Paint in a Bag of the base colour contains.

Calculate the number of base colour batches you need by dividing the amount of base colour you need by the amount contained in one batch of Paint in a Bag of your chosen base colour.

3. Purchase base colour & white. Buy the number of Paint in a Bag base colour batches you have determined by choosing your desired colour and value '100'. Purchase the amount of titanium dioxide white you need.

4. Supplement with linseed oil, egg, and accessories!

Example

Let's take as an example a 27 sqm wall surface that is to be painted with 3 September 30. The wall has wallpaper that needs to be painted over, so we count on normal coverage. This means three batches of Paint in a Bag are needed.

Number of batches of 3 September 30: 3 pcs

In the table, we see that 120 g of base colour is needed per batch of 3 September 30, so a total of 120 x 3 batches = 360 g is needed.
